Die Schnitzel

Die Schnitzel presents a single breaded cutlet isolated within a frame, elevated from food into object and image. Removed from its culinary context, the schnitzel becomes a strangely monumental still life: At once mundane and absurdly sacred. Casted in epoxy, it oscillates between comfort and discomfort, consumption and preservation, turning a fleeting meal into a static emblem of cultural repetition.

Series of single Schnitzels in Epoxy.
